Tafakkur: Journal of Islamic Thought and Civilization Vol. 1 No. 1 (January–June 2026) presents a diverse range of studies on Islamic thought and civilization, covering topics such as literature, popular culture, Qur’anic interpretation, Islamic political philosophy, and academic ethics in the age of artificial intelligence. This issue demonstrates the journal’s commitment to a multidisciplinary approach that connects Islamic studies with contemporary social, cultural, health, political, and technological issues. The published articles are contributed by scholars from various institutions, primarily in Indonesia, including Universitas Gadjah Mada, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, and UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, as well as an international contributor from Kazakhstan.
